Manuel Torres, founder of mtc designs, received a degree in architecture in 1994 from Universidad Ricardo Palma in Lima, Peru. To pursue his architect's license in Peru, Mr. Torres wrote a thesis on historic restoration and rehabilitation for the 200-year-old facilities of a country club. Mr. Torres practiced architecture in his native country until 2001, specializing in residential design, interior and furniture design, and historic preservation projects. In 2001, he moved to California and began working locally in the field, working his way up to the positions of Junior Designer and Project Manager. Before founding mtc designs in 2007, Mr. Torres worked on over 50 projects, including commercial office buildings, single and multi-family dwellings, and retail and restaurant facilities.
